We decided to opt out of the Stadium of Fire fireworks again this year to once again attend the Culdesac of Fire 2009. We went last year and the kids loved it so we decided to do it again this year. My parent's neighbors the Lees and Christensens go all out and each year it has gotten bigger and bigger. It is so much fun! They paint the pavement in the culdesac all patriotic, they had a live band this year, a candy walk for the kids, and then the show begins. This year they had Lt. Govenor, soon to be Govenor Herbert make a debut with his escorts and all. He is s good friend and neighbor to us all so he did his thing at the Stadium and then headed on up to appear for us all. They also attempted a fly over this year with a big plane pinata with candy for the kids. Caleb was very confused because they had the sound effects of the real jets so he kept looking in the sky to find them. It was kinda funny but sad to cause he did not get to seem them at the parade. They then did a mini parade and had the 550 South Fire Dancers do a dance tribut to Micheal Jackson songs, it was great! Then we watched many firecrackers before the "Bonus" Brothers showed up to perform. Now that was funny! After more fireworks we were honored with Carmen Rasmusen Herbert singing a few patriotic songs for us and with us. Then the big firework finale. The kids were so tired at the end of the night but they had fun with all their cousins! Another great 4th of July weekend!!!
