Happy Birthday

I can't believe that my "baby" is 3 years old. It is scary to me how quickly the time flies by. It seems like just yesterday that we were on our way to the hospital to meet our beautiful little boy. Caleb is such a joy to our family. He has such a fun and loving personality. He keeps us laughing all the time and amazes us everyday with his knowledge. I am so proud to be his mom. I had so much fun with his birthday this year. He finally fully got it this year and was counting down to his birthday for a good month or so. He was so excited to finally wake up on Friday morning and see the house all decorated. He asked what it was for and he replied, "Is it Halloween?" (not quite sure where that came from). We then proceeded with a no it's your birthday and that erupted into a dance. He was so cute and thankful for everything all day long. I made his favorite cinnamon twists for breakfast and then he got to open a few presents before Tommy went off to work. Caleb ands I spent the day reading his new books and playing with his new Optimus Prime. That evening my parents came over to watch Bailey while Tommy and I too Caleb to see Wall-E, which we give two thumbs up. It was so fun to go out with Caleb and be able to just focus on him. On Saturday we had his big Transformer swimming party over at Grandma and Grandpa Greenes house. It was so much fun!! Even though it was hot, the water temperature was perfect. Caleb had so much fun!! We have got such great family and friend support. We love all you guys!! We could not believe everything that Caleb got and he had so much fun with everyone. It was so cute too, right before he started opening his presents he said,
"Um guys, I just want to thank you all for coming to my happy birthday party." So cute! I love my little guy. I had so much fun spoiling him and watching his cute little grin, not to mention all the hugs, kisses and thank yous that I received from him. Thanks to everyone who came and thank you Grandma and Grandpa for allowing us to invade. The yard and pool looked great! And Happy Birthday Caleb! Mommy, Daddy and Bailey love you so much! You have made the last 3 years so memorable and I am so honored to be your mom. Love you peanut!!

Activities - Caleb loves to read, go swimming, go to daddy's softball games, play at the park, watch and attend BYU football games, play with his cars and transformers, help mommy bake, he loves taking bath and showers, he loves to dance and sing along to "his songs".

Caleb is so friendly and is constantly making new friends and then calling them "his guys".

The Big 3

Today is Caleb's Birthday. Happy Birthday Peanut, We love you so much!!!!

PlayDoh Fun

This is out of order but I forgot to post this. Last week I went over to my mom's to hang out with the kids and my mom brought out her homemade playdoh. Oh boy, did Caleb have fun!! I never knew playdoh could be so fun and entertaining as it was that day. Grandma had Caleb laughing hysterically as she helped Caleb put his feet and hands into the dough. But it got uncontrollably funny to him when Grandma decided to make snowmen and then sing "Once there was a snowman, snowman..." and let Caleb smash the snowmen when we got to "in the snow it melted, melted...". Caleb thought this was so funny! Caleb LOVED smashing the snowmen and thought it even funnier when Grandma started to make snowmen with dreds and bunny ears. He had such a fun day playing with Grandmas playdoh, I will now have to make a batch of my own. It was so fun to see him laughing and having such a good time. Thanks for a fun day Mom/Grandma!!! (Of course after this one picture my camera died so I was unable to take a video clip of the fun).

Seven Peaks

We spent the day at Seven Peaks with Grandma Holbert, Aunt Shanna, cousins Nicole, Matthew, Timothy and Megan and Shannas sister-in-law Gayleen and her two kids Alec and Aubrey. It has become an annual thing each July when Grandma comes out for all of us girls and our kids to meet up and spend a day at 7 Peaks. We had a great time and both of my kids were out before we left the parking lot.

Park City

Tommy's mom is in town so we took the opportunity to go up to Park City and spend some time together. Tommy's sister Shanna has a timeshare at the Westgate Resort in the Canyons so we all went up and spent the weekend up there. It was a very nice resort! (I now want a steam shower). I love going up to Park City, it is so beautiful!!! We got the late afternoon thunderstorms but it actually made it quite pleasant. We spent the time swimming, playing ping pong, eating and shopping. Caleb had a blast with all his cousins. It was a quick trip but it was so relaxing.

Caleb LOVED watching all the birdies. So much, that I ended up serving him his breakfast on the balcony because he could not stop watching them long enough to come in and eat.

Caleb decided to pull out an ottoman in one of the stores, kick off his shoes and relax.

Rah Rah Rah Rah Rah...Go Cougars!

We are getting so excited for the football season to start but I think Caleb is showing a little more excitement than all of us. While out at the mall on Friday he saw all the BYU gear and started running around the store pointing everything out to me and yelling "Mommy look at the Y stuff, look at all this Y stuff". He then asked if we could buy it and I said, "Maybe for your birthday". Well that translated to him calling my mom and telling her that she needed to buy him some BYU stuff for his birthday, very subtle. Then today in sacrament meeting Tommy had a BYU tie tack on and Caleb was wanting to play with, so I then drew a Y on his magna doodle to distract him and that errupted him into chanting the rah, rah, rah, rah, rah go cougars (with the hand motions and all) in the middle of church. What can we say??? Go Cougars!!

Happy 4th of July

I LOVE this time of year! The 4th is one of my favorite holidays. We had a very busy week leading up to the weekend and Caleb came down with the flu Wednesday night but we were still able to have a great 4th. We just relaxed in the morning and then headed over to my parents house along with my brother Colby and his family and my brother Kyle and his wife Heather to do some swimming and BBQ. It was a little overcast and a little cooler than what we would have liked but luckily the water was warm. I guess it was better than it being the 103 that they predicted. We decided instead of going down to the Stadium to watch the fireworks we would stick around for the annual Culdesac of Fire. The culdesac of fire was so fun (of course I didnt take my camera down and I was too lazy to go back and get it). Caleb and his cousin Devan had a great time! (Bailey was sound asleep) They participated in a few games that they had going on for the kids and then the show began. It was great. You kinda had to grow up in the neighborhood to enjoy all the entertainers but they had the Fire Dancers 550 South perform, we had our very own Riley May Virus and her back up dancers, and lets not forget the bobcat that held the grand finale fireworks. It was so much fun and Caleb loved all the fireworks! As soon as it ended we headed back down to my moms house just in time to go up on her deck and catch some of the fireworks from the Stadium of Fire. We finished off the weekend by going to the Arts Festival. It was a great weekend! I love the 4th and I am so grateful to all the men and women out there fighting for our freedom. UVUPHORIA

Colin Raye came into town to help put on a concert to celebrate UVSC becoming UVU so that meant we had to go. Colin Raye is one of our favorite singers and we have gone to his concerts everytime he comes to Utah. They also brought in Josh Graci and Joe Nicols. It was a fun night! All of my family came along (we missed you Tam). It was a long night. It started about 7 and went until alomst 11. Caleb and Bailey did great! It was no surprise to see Caleb dancing away, he loves to dance! We decided to take the kids to the car and watch the fireworks from there. Bailey had been asleep for sometime and Caleb was fading. As always Colin Raye put on a great show and Josh and Joe weren't too bad either. Thanks to Kyle, Heather and Tommy for going and standing in line to get our seats. It was so nice to be in the front row and in the shade the whole time. Until next time Colin.
