GOAL

Caleb had his first soccer game on Thursday the 15th. He was so excited! I think it was the longest day for this poor little kid. He asked all day long if it was time for his game, and I mean ALL DAY long! It was a gorgeous day out, which made it even better. He was also so excited to have Grandpa, Uncle Kyle, Aunt Heather, Ethan, Uncle Colby, Aunt Jamie, Jaycie, Bryce, Devan and Ian all their to support him. I think he was more interested in them all being there and giving us all thumbs up then he was in actually playing. It was so cute though and he was having so much fun! He played again on Saturday and did much better in actually getting in there and kicking the ball and "playing" the game. It is really fun to watch him out on the field! My baby is truly growing up. Go Badgers!!!

Miss Bailey

This little girl is constantly making us laugh. She is such a sassy, independent little girl. She is constantly changing into dress ups, etc. and had us laughing so hard when she walked out wearing Caleb's bumblebee gear. Classic! She also recently snuck off at grandmas house and painted her own nails. We thought she was downstairs with Tommy and she didn't reply when I called her name upstairs (gee, I wonder why). Luckily only a little was found on my parents dresser and it came off. This girl is too much but boy do we love her!

Sand Dunes

Last Saturday was a very busy and eventful day. We woke up and packed lunches, etc. to spend the day at the Sand Dunes. We have never been able to make it out their before so we were excited to finally take time to go. As we were getting ready I got a text from my best friend Lillian that they were prepping her and she was going to be having Alivia shortly. Yay! We headed out the door and made our way out to the Sand dunes. It was a such a nice day. We unloaded the 4-wheelers and started a fire and then the boys went off to ride for a bit. The kids immediately got out their sand toys and started playing in the sand. They had a blast. After lunch I headed out for a while with Tommy and then he took the kids out as well. Caleb was quite adventurous and wanted to ride up the highest dunes. He had so much fun riding the "motorhomers". Not sure why he calls the 4-wheelers, motorhomers??? We have tried to correct him but he is insistent on his way. I think it's cute. It was a lot of fun hanging out, talking, riding, roasting marshmallow's and starbursts. I think it is safe to say that we will be getting a dirt bike or 4-wheeler in the near future. Tommy used to ride when he was younger and he really misses it. We all had so much fun! That place is crazy and their are some crazy riders but what a blast! We headed out a little sooner then the rest of the family so we could get the kids naps and head to see Mike, Lillian and baby Alivia. However, just as we got on the freeway in Santaquin we came upon an accident involving a motorcycle. We were one of the first on the scene and Tommy immediately got out of the car and ran out to help. The freeway was closed for a little over an hour and life flight was called in. Tommy was up at the scene helping the whole time. Everyone was ok, thankfully. Just several broken bones and a vertebrae. So leaving early didn't really give us extra time but we were glad to be their to help. We rushed home and showered and headed straight to the hospital for a short visit before heading out to Shanna's to watch the UFC fights. Needless to say it was a very long day. We were all beat. We finished off the weekend with dinner at Shanna's and more visiting with Uncle Kyle and Aunt JJ before they headed home. Caleb and Bailey loved seeing them again and getting to spend time with them. Caleb has really gotten into the Army thing lately and was so excited to see all of Uncle Kyle's uniform and to ask him a "million" questions. He also got some official Army patches from Kyle that he was so excited about! We love you Kyle and our proud of your decision to serve our country.

M is for...Monkey

Tommy's brother Kyle and his wife Jessica came to town Thursday night to visit for a few days before Kyle gets deployed to Iraq. Tommy took the day off on Friday and we decided to head to the zoo. Tommy's sister Shanna and her husband Ben had to work so we took their kids and headed up with Kyle and JJ. We stopped at Wendy's on the way up and grabbed some lunch. It was a little breezier than we had hoped for but it wasn't too bad. We were still able to enjoy a great day up at the zoo. Caleb and Bailey were so excited to see the monkeys, they love those little guys. We couldn't believe how big the lion cubs have gotten since end of the summer. We headed back to Shanna's and hung out and then we all headed out to Tepenyaki for dinner and finished the night visiting back at the house.

These two were so funny to watch. The little brown monkey was picking on the bigger monkey and you could tell he was so annoyed with him.

Hippity, Hoppity

Our Easter morning started much earlier than I would have liked. Our sweet little Caleb decided to sneak out at 3:30 in the morning to see what the Easter Bunny brought and excitedly came into our room to show us. Now he has never done this before, not even for Christmas. Don't know why he did this for the Easter Bunny..lol. I had to get him back in bed and explain that there was lots of sleep time left. Didn't go over to well, he tried sneaking out 45 minutes later, than a half hour after that he came in our room to sleep on the floor and then our sweet Bailey woke up at 6:45. Needless to say, I never truly got back to sleep after 3:30. I got up with the kids and went to see what they got from the Easter Bunny. They were both very excited! Caleb got lots of things from How to Train a Dragon and Bailey got a mix of DVDS, books, jewelry, etc. The Easter did not bring much candy this year and it was nice :) We also woke up to about 3 inches of snow on the ground. Didn't feel to springy but it was kinda nice with it being conference weekend. Made staying in jammies and snuggling during conference more fun. I made some Sticky Rolls, which is a conference tradition and some bacon. We enjoyed the morning session and the kids did really good. After the morning session I made dessert for later that night and then we had our Easter egg hunt inside. The kids didn't mind the were just excited to look for their eggs. We enjoyed another great afternoon session of conference. It was really nice having conference fall on Easter and to be reminded and to really focus on our Saviour. We headed up to my sister's house for dinner. It was delicious! Everything was so good. We did lots of visiting, checking out the opener of the Yankee/Red Sox game, and celebrated Josh, Josie and Stephanie's birthdays. I think we were all too stuffed to truly enjoy dessert. The cousins all had so much fun playing together as always. Jamie was having Josh come back down and sleepover and offered to take Caleb as well but he fell asleep on the way home. He spent the whole day on Monday though over at Colby and Jamie's playing with his cousins. He had so much fun!!! We had a wonderful Easter this year!! We are so thankful for this gospel and for the atonement and for the opportunity to have listened to the words and testimonies of our prophet and apostles during this Easter weekend.

Easter Fun

We dyed our Easter eggs with the kids on Wednesday night and I am glad we did because Caleb ended up getting sick on Thursday and even had to miss his first soccer game :( The kids did not mess around this year, I think we were done in about 10 minutes. They had a blast though and that's all that matters. We laid low yesterday with Caleb not feeling well but he is already bouncing back. The kids and I made some Easter sugar cookies this afternoon. Tommy has a tournament tonight and tomorrow afternoon and then we can enjoy a nice conference and Easter weekend. I am so looking forward to that. Hope you all have a Happy Easter!
