Waiting on the Sun

We are definitely getting anxious for spring and many long awaited days outside, playing at the park, swimming, just soaking in the sun. But until then we have been doing whatever we can to get through the last stretch of winter. We have been able to attend several of the BYU basketball games. They are doing awesome this year and we have loved being able to get out and cheer them on. Caleb and Bailey love to get decked out in their BYU gear and dribble the basketball in the kitchen, they even have "talks" aka halftimes/timeouts in Caleb's room. What can I say, we have raised these kids well...lol.

We have also spent many afternoons coloring, playing with play doh, making forts and of course baking (I am a bakacholic). I volunteered to make some Rainbow cupcakes this week for Caleb's preschool and the kids LOVED helping me make these fun and colorful treats.

And there is always time for pampering, right??!!?? I found these two pretending to give each other haircuts, giving manicures and applying makeup. It made me smile.

We are looking forward to a trip next weekend to St. George to watch Tommy play softball and hoping to see good ol Mr. Sunshine.

HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY

We had one of the best Valentine's this year!!! We celebrated all weekend. On Friday night Tommy and I snuck away to enjoy dinner at our favorite place, Joe's Crab Shack. Yummy! We had a very relaxing rest of the night together. Saturday we ran a few errands with the kids and watched the NBA All-Star hoopla on TV. Had a little take out and relaxed. I decorated the house Saturday night after everyone headed to bed. The kids were so excited to wake up to the house decorated and to find little treat bags and cards. The kids helped me make chocolate covered strawberries, a BIG favorite in our household. I then made red and pink heart shaped pancakes and had strawberry milk. We went to my parents ward for a family friends farewell. We spent the rest of the day chillaxin. We had a wonderful dinner and devoured the Red Velvet Cake Kisses that I made. They are dangerous but oh so good!! I am so blessed to have such an amazing husband! Thank you sweetheart for everything that you do for me and the kids. You are truly my best friend and I had the most amazing weekend with you! I love you!! Hope you all had a wonderful Valentine's Day as well.

Valentine Box Fun

Caleb was sick the day that his preschool class made their valentine boxes so Miss Morgan sent it for Caleb to do at home. Have I mentioned how amazing Miss Morgan is??? Well she is!!! We LOVE her! Caleb was very excited to be able to create his valentine box at home and "not be missing out". He did a great job and I was very impressed with the outcome of his little box. Great Job Caleb!!! He was able to be back in class the next day for his Valentine party and had so much fun exchanging his valentine's with his preschool friends.

Gravity Slashers

We had been watching the X Games on TV and Caleb LOVED watching the snowmobiles doing all their tricks and kept asking when they were coming to Utah :). Well, we found out that the Gravity Slashers were gonna be in town that weekend. So what's the next best thing to watching snowmobiles???? Watching motorcycles flip. Caleb still even got to see a snowmobile flip. They had the world record holder their to do a few tricks, unfortunately after the 2nd flip he crashed and got injured but little man was satisfied. It was so awesome to watch these guys, they are AMAZING! What a rush!!! We all had so much fun watching trick after trick. Caleb and Bailey can't wait to go see them again (and mommy and daddy). We will be heading to see the Motor cross Finals in May.
