The Little Things

I have loved putting Caleb to bed lately. After our prayers and tucking him into bed he makes sure he thanks us for EVERYTHING that we did that day and for making him so happy. Then after we tell him that we love him, he precedes by telling us that he loves us soooo much more. It puts such a smile on my face! He is such a sweet and grateful little boy. I could not ask for a better way to end my day. I love you so much more Caleb and I love being your mommy!!!!!!

The Big 28

Yes, I turned the big 28 on Sunday. I am getting old. I had such a fun birthday weekend, thanks to my wonderful husband. It started out with me getting away from the kids and getting a much needed pedicure. Tommy took me to the Cheesecake Factory, I have been wanting to go since it opened up. He surprised me by having several friends meet us up there. It was so fun to have everyone there and the food was so good!!! Not to mention the Chocolate Peanut Butter Cookie Dough Cheesecake, holy crap soooo good! We will be going back soon. Thank you so much dear for arranging everything it was so much fun! Tommy and Caleb also made me my favorite cake and Caleb was so excited to have birthday cake with frosting. Caleb was a lot of fun this year, he understood that it was mommy's birthday and he couldn't even let me sleep in cause he was so excited to bring me my card and presents. He sang and told me happy birthday all day long. I love you buddy!! We also managed to squeeze in lots of other fun activites such as going to the bouncy gym, going to Mountain Fun and playing the arcades, getting ice cream at Coldstone, and shopping til we dropped. Despite some cold and rainy weather off and on, I had an amazing birthday weekend! I have the best husband in the world, I love you so much honey!!! Thanks for everything! Unfortunately we didn't take any pictures, how sad huh?

Enjoying the Weather

We were invited to a BBQ in the Park for our close friend Mike Montoyas Birthday. We had so much fun!! The weather was gorgeous and the kids had a blast having water fights, playing ball and feeding the ducks. It was so nice to be able to visit with our friends and watch Caleb run all over the place and laugh. Thanks so much Lil for inviting us. We did not want to leave. It was the perfect way to finish off a busy week! We love you guys and hope you had a great birthday Mike!!

Mother of 6

We had the opportunity to watch Tommy's sisters kids for a few days. Caleb was in heaven having his cousins at our house 24/7. It definitely is a different experience with 6 kids but we had a lot of fun. Tommy and I decided to take the kids bowling and to get ice cream at Baskin Robbins on Thursday night. It was a lot of fun! Shanna and Ben have great kids. After dropping them off on Saturday morning we headed up to Park City to do some shopping. It was such beautiful weather and the canyon drive was so nice!! Caleb and Bailey were so good and we found some great stuff, mainly for the kids :)

California Trip

We just got back from a much needed vacation. Tommy just finished finals for the semester so we headed to California for a week to relax and finally spend some time together. The flight there was pretty good, could have been better. Bailey was teething and does not like to be held to sleep (the flight home was perfect we got to take her carseat on). We were welcomed by a heat wave as we stepped off the plane into 97 degree weather. Ahhhh.

BBQ with the Miller's

We had the Miller Clan over for a BBQ and swim and Tommy's parents house. It was so good to see them all and visit for a while. We miss you guys! Thanks for driving up to see us.

DISNEYLAND

It was so hot at Disneyland!! 99 degrees to be exact....we asked for warm weather. Despite the weather and me being a little sick we had a blast! Caleb was still a little shy about going up to the characters...he was good from a distance.

We had lots of fun in Mickey's Toon Town and there was hardly anyone there.

Yes, Bailey was on our vacation. She just slept through 90% of it.

CALIFORNIA ADVENTURE

We hit California Adventure the next day. It was about 13 degrees cooler which was perfect. It was seriously not crowded at all. We were able to walk right on to everything. The Playhouse Disney Show was a HUGE hit.

VENICE BEACH
On Friday we headed out to Venice Beach. We try to go out there each time we visit or when we get the chance. You see it all out there. There are some wackos but it is fun to see it all and visit all the little shops along the boardwalk.

This guy was too funny. He had these funky roller skates on and would go up and down the beach playing his guitar and singing to you.

We had such a fun trip! We got our IN N OUT fix and lots of great weather. It was so nice to have so much time together as a family. Tommy had been so busy this last semester. It was just what we all needed. Even spending a few hours on Thursday at the Instacare with the kids didn't ruin it (both kids got ear infections, go figure). Thank you Grandma and Grandpa for such a fun vacation!!!
