Tommy's 31st Birthday

Tommy turned 31 on the 18th. The day started off with birthday breakfast and opening presents. I made him IHOP style french toast with bacon. Later that morning Caleb, Bailey and I met up with him for the BYU football open practice. It was such a good day for football, the weather was perfect. The kids LOVED it and LOVED being with daddy. Tommy had some of his favorite candy and drinks to snack on. I came back home with the kids for naps while Tommy went back to work. Later that afternoon we went to the BYU Meet and Greet with all the different athletes. They had music, games, autographs, etc. Unfortunately I was still sick so we just hit Rumbi Island grill on the way home for dinner. We then came home and sang and had Tommy's favorite cake; Better Than Sex Cake. Caleb helped me make it the night before and had been anxiously waiting ALL day to have a piece. We hope you had a great day!! We love you so much and are so grateful for everything you do for us! You are the best daddy and a wonderful husband!

Tommy and I were able to finally go out last night to celebrate together (poor guy had a wife with pneumonia who couldn't get out of the house). Thanks mom and dad for watching the kids. We went up to Joe's Crab Shack and had some yummy seafood. We then went and saw Time Traveler's Wife and shared a Peanut Butter Cup Shake (my first sugar in 12 weeks). It was a fun evening with the hubby! Happy Birthday babe! I LOVE YOU!!!

Car Show

As part of the Lindon days that took place last week, they had a car show on Thursday night that we took the kids too. They both LOVE looking at cars. We were not sure how many cars would be there but we were surprised at how many were there. The kids had so much fun checking out all the cars. They were both walking around carrying their little play cars and would make comments like "Wow, Cool" (Bailey) and "Holy Crap" (mouth wide-open, Caleb). They had many people laughing with their interest in the cars. It was a fun thing to just quick take the kids too. Tommy and I had just as much fun checking the cars out :)

This was the "transformer" car. All the symbols and caps under the hood had the transformer icon. Caleb thought it was so cool.

This car was sweet. It is the 2010 Charger.

A Great Way To Spend The Day

My sweet sister, Stephanie invited me and the kids up to have lunch and play at the new water fountain park by her house. We went to the Blue Lemon Grill. It was SO good! I loved the cafe atmosphere and the food was so yummy! We shared a Turkey avocado sandwich on wheat and then split the raspberry vinaigrette salad. We also had sweet potato fries with THEE best dipping sauce and some hummus and bread. It was all so good! I will be going back, and soon. After lunch we headed to the Highland Park. They just put in a water area with fountains, etc. It was so cool and the kids LOVED it!! I wish Utah County had something like it. Steph and I got to visit while the kids got drenched. Caleb and Bailey were so excited to be with their cousins and Aunt "Stesanie". We headed to her house after for Popsicles and I got a tour of their basement, while the kids got some more cousin time. It was such a great day and we will need to do it again soon. Thanks so much Steph for such a fun and enjoyable afternoon.

It was DINO-mite!!!

Our little guy turned 4 on Saturday. I can not believe that I have a 4 year old. He is growing up too fast! He started his birthday weekend by going to see Transformers 2 with Tommy on Friday morning. He was so excited to be going with just his daddy. Caleb was beyond excited for his birthday and he chose a dinosaur theme this year, big shock. I did not let him see or know anything that was going on so it was all a big surprise to him. He had heard me talking about his birthday for a few weeks and knew it was coming up but I don't think he really got it was his birthday until the day of. I always decorate the house the night before. Caleb woke up and came in our bed, not remembering what day it was, he laid their for several minutes before I turned to him and said Happy Birthday. He shot up and said,"Are you serious?" He jumped up and ran down the hall to see all the decorations and balloons. We could hear him from our room saying "Are you kidding me....Are you serious??" He ran back and gave me a HUGE hug and proceeded to thank me for the decorations. I think he would have been content with just that. Caleb had requested waffles and bacon for breakfast, so that is what he got. After breakfast we let him open his presents from us and Grandma and Grandpa in California so that he would have time to play with them before his party. I am not sure who was more excited about the presents..Tommy or Caleb. Tommy decided it was time to introduce him to some G.I. Joe's, along with his dinosaurs and transformers. He spent the morning playing with all of his new toys. I headed to my moms to get ready for his party. I had so much fun putting together his dinosaur theme. Caleb was so excited to finally see it all. He loved the dinosaur tracks and kept telling everyone that the dinosaurs had been there :) Caleb wanted to stick with all his family and cousins this year for his party so that is who we invited. We once again had a pool party at my parents pool. It ended up being a wonderful day. We had thunderstorms and some rain up until the hour before his party and then it was sunny and hot. Caleb swam for the first little while and then snuck off to play with some of the dinosaur decorations while everyone else swam, I said why not, it is his day right? Thank you to all who came to support Caleb on his big day. He was SO happy to have everyone there. He LOVES his cousins, aunts, uncles and grandma and grandpa. After the party he wanted kids meals for dinner and wanted to stay at Grandma & Grandpas house to eat them. Grandpa had bought a big firework fountain that we did after dinner for his birthday along with some pop its and sparklers. Caleb had a wonderful birthday and thanked us all day with hugs and kisses for his awesome dinosaur party. Mommy, Daddy and Bailey love you so much! We are so blessed and lucky to have you in our family. You are such a joy and have such an incredible memory and imagination. I love watching you learn and grow. I am so honored to be your mom. We love you peanut!!!

Food - Hot dogs, Gogurts, Peanut Butter Sandwiches, Mac and Cheese, Grapes, Strawberries, Bananas with Peanut Butter, Oatmeal, Chocolate Pop tarts, Popcorn and of course fruit snacks.

Shows- Special Agent Oso, Dino Squad, Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, Animal Planet or Discovery Channel documentaries.

Movies - Dinosaur, BYU highlight videos, Transformers, and still any Disney movie.

Activities - Caleb loves to paint, play with and make play doh, loves to read and go to the library, go swimming, go to the ballpark to watch daddy play, watch and attend BYU football games, play with his dinosaurs, he loves to bake and dance with me in the kitchen, play "college football " and his latest interest Bakugan's.
