Hiking the Y

We had a very fun and relaxing Memorial Day weekend. We started off with a softball tournament in Payson on Saturday, Sunday we relaxed and played some games, and then Monday we hiked the Y and had a BBQ. Believe it or not we had never hiked the Y before, Caleb and Bailey were so excited at the thought of hiking to the "beloved" Y on the mountain that they always see and look for. My brother Kyle and his wife Heather had mentioned wanting to hike it several weeks back so we decided to give them a call and we all went together. I wasn't sure if the kids would make it all the way up, but Caleb walked 95% of it on his own and Bailey was carried most the way...lol. It was a lot of fun though and I can't wait to go do it again. The kids loved it! We headed to my parents later that afternoon for a BBQ. We had yummy food and the kids bounced in the bouncy house and finished off the night playing with some water rocket launchers. All in all, we had an awesome Memorial Day weekend! Thanks to all the men and woman who have served or are currently serving our country.

CLASS OF 2010

We had a BIG day at our house yesterday. Caleb graduated preschool. I can not believe how fast the year went. Not to mention I am going to have a preschooler next year. Yikes! Caleb was quite excited about his graduation. I decorated the house the night before with just a few graduation decorations. Caleb was thrilled to see them when he woke up. Tommy had found a great deal on some transformer toys so he got them and gave them to Caleb after breakfast. Caleb spent ALL day playing with them. He also spent most of the day asking if it was time to go to his graduation :). Caleb wanted to go to dinner before and picked Burger King because it had Iron Man 2 toys. We dropped Caleb off for their final practice while we took Bailey to the park to play until it started. Grandma and Papa Greene came to support Caleb and he was so excited to have them their. The graduation program was so cute. Morgan did an amazing job with it all! They marched in to Pomp, Stomp and Circumstance. It got me a little sad..lol. They then recited the Pledge of Allegience as a class and then sung Down By the Bay. Let me tell ya, this was the best part of the night. It was so cute, it ended up sounding like it was being sung in rounds and at several different speeds. Classic, I tell ya. Next was the receiving of diplomas. We then enjoyed an AWESOME slide show featuring pictures from throughout the year and interviews from the kids. Here is where we found out that Caleb wants to grow up and be......drumroll please......Optimus Prime. Yep, why be a Doctor or Firefighter when you can be Optimus Prime??? This is why I love my little guy so much!! Following the slideshow we all got to participate in a balloon release. A tradition in Miss Morgan's family that she has implemented with her own students. It is such a fun idea. For any birthday or special occassion such as graduation, you get to make a wish and then release your balloon. So that is exactly what we did. We headed outside to the field and made LOTS of wishes before watching many balloons float away. The kids thouroughly enjoyed this part. Then there was lots of eating, mingling and picture takin'. It was an AWESOME night!!! Thank you to his teacher, Miss Morgan for the most amazing preschool experience. It exceeded all of my expections! Caleb learned and developed so much and was able to participate in so many fun things throughout the year and his graduation was just icing on the cake. Miss Morgan puts her heart and soul into this preschool and we are so grateful for her! We are all going to miss her but will return in the fall of 2011 for Bailey to attend. We can hardly wait! Thanks for all you have done for Caleb and Congrats Class of 2010.

Preschool PARTY

Caleb had his end of the year preschool party on Friday. Really, the end of the year already???? Caleb has been talking about this party, not for days but weeks. He was so excited to enjoy pizza, popsicles and a bounce house with all of his preschool friends. I am surprised he got any sleep the night before. Friday morning, every few minutes it was, "Is it time yet?". Caleb has had such an unbelievable year at preschool this year. I am so sad to see it come to an end. Miss Morgan has been the BEST teacher and has spent so much time making this year amazing for these kids! Caleb had so much fun at his party. Morgan was nice enough to invite the parents and siblings to come back at 11 to have pizza, popsicles and time in the bouncy house. She's cool like that. Bailey was thrilled to get to play with brother and his friends in the bouncy house, and to be at Miss Morgan's house (Bailey adores her). Caleb was also so happy to have us all there to celebrate with him. He was so tuckered out, he almost feel asleep on the way home. I think he almost hyper-ventilated on the phone while telling my mom every detail about his party. What a fun day!! Now just one more day of class and then the grand finale, Graduation :)

Road Trip

Tommy found out last Tuesday that he needed to head down to Saint George for court on Wednesday. It had been a very draining week already so the kids and I decided to go down with him to get a "break". I am so glad that we did! It was BEAUTIFUL weather and it was so fun and relaxing. We got in around 12:30, grabbed lunch and checked into our hotel. We got abalcony room this time and the kids loved it! Tommy got ready and headed to court while the kids and I got ready and headed to the pool. Tommy joined us later and we spent a couple hours down at the pool and "chacuzzi". We headed to dinner at Outback and then chilled the rest of the night. Last time we were there I took the kids to Walmart (right across the street) to get Oreos and milk. Caleb remembered that so once again we got some Oreos and milk and had a little bedtime snack. We had breakfast the next morning outside on the balcony and then headed home. It was such a needed and quick fun getaway. The kids had a blast. We came back to freezing weather but the quick warm up was nice.

End of the Season

Caleb had his last soccer game on the 6th. It was freezing that day but it didn't bother him at all. He got a medal after his last game and thought that was so cool :) He has had so much fun playing this season and is so excited to be playing in the fall with his cousin Devan and hopefully be coached by Uncle Colby. It was so cold his last game I forgot to take any pictures but here are a few from a few weeks before.

GOAL

Caleb had his first soccer game on Thursday the 15th. He was so excited! I think it was the longest day for this poor little kid. He asked all day long if it was time for his game, and I mean ALL DAY long! It was a gorgeous day out, which made it even better. He was also so excited to have Grandpa, Uncle Kyle, Aunt Heather, Ethan, Uncle Colby, Aunt Jamie, Jaycie, Bryce, Devan and Ian all their to support him. I think he was more interested in them all being there and giving us all thumbs up then he was in actually playing. It was so cute though and he was having so much fun! He played again on Saturday and did much better in actually getting in there and kicking the ball and "playing" the game. It is really fun to watch him out on the field! My baby is truly growing up. Go Badgers!!!

Miss Bailey

This little girl is constantly making us laugh. She is such a sassy, independent little girl. She is constantly changing into dress ups, etc. and had us laughing so hard when she walked out wearing Caleb's bumblebee gear. Classic! She also recently snuck off at grandmas house and painted her own nails. We thought she was downstairs with Tommy and she didn't reply when I called her name upstairs (gee, I wonder why). Luckily only a little was found on my parents dresser and it came off. This girl is too much but boy do we love her!
